Welcome to Cornwall Art Galleries

Cornwall Art Galleries Ltd is a family run business that has developed over time, starting many years ago with a small boutique style art gallery in the picturesque fishing village of St Ives in Cornwall.

We now have two galleries - one is Gallery Thirty One in Falmouth and the other is Gallery Thirty Eight in
St. Ives, as well as our long anticipated online shop!

Our aim is to offer superb value art work in a variety of forms either ready to hang straight onto your walls or left for you to frame yourselves, according to your own personal tastes. We pride ourselves on our large selection of art work, with a growing number of local artists working alongside us.

Cornwall provides a strong influence on many of the pieces we currently stock due to the striking beauty of our coastlines and abundance of countryside, filled with quirky ports and fishing villages.

We hope you enjoy visiting one of our Galleries in person at some time in the future, if you haven't already! But for now we hope you enjoy visiting our website.

Falmouth Street (S11)

Serena's inspiration comes from happy childhood memories of bucket and spade, ice-cream and laughter, and overall activities of times past. As such, she has often been referred to as a 'Happy Lowry!'

Hence the collection of 24 paintings have come to be known as the 'Salad Days Collection'.

From an early age she has developed a great love of drawing little houses and people and was incomplete without felt tip, biro and sketchpad.

Her paintings are intended to be just a memory of the town and not an accurate photographic record. The scene gives the impression of encompassing the whole town as if painted from above from a seagulls view. The end result is intended to be more interesting and attractive without losing the atmosphere and essence of the town.

Pack 1 - Flowers 1

Surfers chase the next wave, I chase the next painting!!

Living in Cornwall, I am constantly inspired by the dramatic light, the surf and sand, the gardens and the myriad of tiny harbours and inlets. As long as I can remember I've had a compulsive desire to draw and paint. From being encouraged by my Dad at an early age, developing through university and post graduate studies, I still feel passionate and driven to explore the next 'wow' factor that is just around the next corner.
